hello
i am a guest here so thanks for looking at this post.i have 3 questions so here goes:-
1.is there a website that has scans of all the issues of AMSTRAD ACTION(all the pages),i sent a tip in to the "cheat mode"section(i think thats what it's called)in my own name, for the game "city slicker"and i am a bit stuck on it. 2.on the above game ( i am using an ZX spectrum emulator)"city slicker"how do you use PEP PILLS?(i am hoping that the key presses are the same). 3.how do you load disks on an amstrad emulator?.
thank you and hello from everybody at the "world of spectrum"website.

hi, 1. cpcoxygen.digi-alt.net/aa.html3. Follow these three steps:1) In Caprice32 --> Press F6, navigate and open a file with the extension ".dsk" or a zip file that contains one or more ".dsk" files. Now the disk is in the computer. To run the game follow step 2) and 3): 2) Type CAT to see the directory 3) Locate the smallest .BAS file (if there are not any then the smallest .BIN file) available and type: run"filename(for " (double quote) you must press SHIFT+2 ) Notes:filename usually is an abbreviated form of the game's name. It can also be DISC, DISK or anything. If running .BAS and .BIN files for a game fails (or if there are no available) the next files to look for are those with no file extension. If you cannot get a proper directory listing (after a few invokations of the CAT command you will be familiar with its output format) there is a probability that it's a bootable disk. So, try the command: |cpmFor | (pipe) type SHIFT + [ Also: You may include the extension of the filename if you want: eg. run"filename.binIn other emulators than Caprice32:If you use WinApe32 press F2 instead of F6 and (follow steps 2) and 3) as usual) For No$CPC press F12 No$CPC also has a (not-always-working) auto-run feature. (where steps 2) and 3) are skipped by the emulator) For CPCE press F7 ... or just use each emulator's menus and follow steps 2) and 3)
