I recently dusted off my mate's old 6128+ and the Pang cartridge works but the Burnin Rubber/Locomotive BASIC one doesn't, pretty much rendering the machine useless. A few days ago I tried to use it and sometimes the selection screen would come up, and I could get BASIC or Burnin Rubber to start, but it would crash a few seconds later. I've been trying today and when I stick the cart in and turn the computer on, the screen just goes a white-beige kind of colour. Does anybody have much plus experience and know if there's a remedy to this?

have u tried cleaning teh contacts on the cartridge, also has it been soaked in water

Yeah, I cleaned the bit that sticks out but still no joy. What's this about soaking the cart in water, wouldn't that destroy it?

thats what i mean, if it has been then its useless??  the contacts can be cleaned lightly with cotton bud and any ethanol or alcohol solution but if u get water inside it will damage the cart if in doubt take it to a specialist and they will give u a full report |
