Hi All ! I'm a new user of CPC Emulators, I tried a lot of them, but in this forum I read that WinAPE is good! So I downloaded this. But I have a problem. I can't switch to BASIC mode. When I start, a game is executing (by the way, I can't even play the game). I tried to solve this by using help but I couldn't do anything
Can anyone help me please?? How can I work on BASIC in WinAPE? (I have the WinAPE20A6) thnx

As soon as the emulator starts, i gives a menu-
f1 for BASIC f2 for Burnin' Rubber
if you press F1 on your numeric kepad, all will be well and you will be able to use BASIC.
From memory the keys for Burnin Rubber are the PC cursor keys with right ctrl for change gear- up accellerates.
this could very well be wrong, tho...
good luck!

Hi, as said above press 1 on your numeric keypad to use BASIC. If that doesn't work try pressing Num-Lock once (It must be ON for 1 and 2 on your numeric keypad to work). As for Burnin' Rubber, you have two options: 1. Choose some CPC keys. "G" works as Fire 1 and "F" works as Fire 2, in Burnin' Rubber. So if you use no joystick (emulated or real) press F and then G to set your keys. The important controls are Accelerate, Brake, Left and Right. 2. Using an emulated or real joystick. A real joystick should work automatically. Emulated joysticks: The default keys for a joystick in WinAPE32 are Arrows on the numeric keypad, 5 on the numeric keypad for Fire1 and Del on the numeric keypad for Fire 2. For these keys to work Num-Lock must be OFFSee my posts on this thread to find out more about emulated joysticks in WinAPE32, like choosing your own keys as the emulated joystick: amstrad.proboards7.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&n=1&thread=163Have fun!

They meant for you to press the Num Keypad #1, which is F1 for Basic

If not the sequel to Barbarian from Palace Software (imaginatively called Barbarian 2: ftp.nvg.ntnu.no/pub/cpc/games/arcade/barbari2.zip), that should be World Of Barbarian, a totally different game by Melbourne House (ftp://ftp.nvg.ntnu.no/pub/cpc/games/adventur/graphic/wobarbar.zip)
