Hi!
I *JUST* got a Schneider CPC 646 on the fleemarket. It came with 2 disk drives - one standard 3" from Amstrad and one 3.5" from Vortex - when I turn this one on it makes buzzing sound (quite loud) but no light comes up - not even if I put in a disk) .
When I turn the CPC on it also says it is running some BOS 2.1 512SP from VORTEX or very similar.
Could someone tell me what all this is and how can use the 3.5" floppies with the VORTEX drive - what are the commands (none of the standard |DISK commands work) ... I am getting frustrated... been cleaning everything for 5 hours today and it does seem to work.
