Greetings!
I was wondering of what consisted the CPC package one would find in the stores back in the day - what was included with the computer, disks, tapes, manuals, etc. Thanks!

In Australia the basic package was,
CPC464: Computer, Green screen (Colour screen optional at extra cost), User Instruction Manual, Welcome to Amsoft demo cassette.
CPC664: same as 464 but instead of a cassette came with CP/M 2.2 disc that included the Welcome to Amsoft demo.
CPC6128: same as 664 but also came with CP/M Plus on another disc.

When I got my 464 it was from a company in Britian called Clydesdale. The packages they offered in 1985 were:
CPC464, GT65 green monitor and 12 games (the Amsoft pack) as well as the welcome cassette for £199.99 (this was the pack I got).
The same pack with colour monitor was £249.99.
I always remember going into John Menzies in Edinburgh and the 464 (as well as any other BASIC machine) scrolling the name of someone who was cool and knew the obligatory
10 print "I am cool!" 20 goto 10 run
more advanced people used ? on the Amstrad instead of print, and put in a ; to make the screen fill instead of one column.
Ahhh.. the good old days!

after a while they bundled the mindbenders package with it too - that was monopoly, trivial pursiut and scrabble i think (15 games in total)
the plus came with burning rubber and basic on a cartridge, so u got bored quicker?
