5.25 Drive B for CPC

Hi All,

I have connected a 5.25" drive (taken from a 486 machine) to the CPC.

If I format the disc as IBM format then both AMSDOS and CP/M 2.2 recognize the format and work perfectly.

It is impossible to work if the disk is formated by any other way (data, system, vendor) - Read fail error.

Anybody can help ?

A 3.5" drive connected to the same machine works perfectly with all formats.

I managed to deal with the problem,

It is a matter of Disk Drive Jumpers.

Some - Windows - 5.25" - drives do not have Jumpers, so they can work with Amstrad using IBM format only...
